About Us

Our story begins in 1998, when Ken and Lesley Wallace opened the doors of our little dance shop in Seven Hills, opposite the train station on Boomerang Place. From the very beginning, their mission was simple and heartfelt — to provide dancers and their families with “good old fashioned service and attention.”

It wasn’t just a slogan in their logo. It was a promise.

Ken and Lesley believed that every dancer deserved to feel welcomed, supported and valued whether they were buying their very first pair of ballet shoes, preparing for exams, competitions or performances. That belief became the foundation of the shop and quickly made it a trusted part of the local dance community.

In April 2009, the shop moved to Monaro Street in Seven Hills, where it continued serving generations of dancers for more than 16 years. The heart of the business remained the same: personal service, expert fitting, and genuine care.

In 2017, Ken and Lesley passed the baton to Kassandra (Kass) Stewart. Kass carried the business forward with the same warmth, dedication and always with a touch of pink glitter. Guiding the store and its dance families through two lockdowns, the shop remained resilient. With patience, adaptability, and community support, Kass ensured the doors (both physical and virtual) stayed open, and the dance spirit stayed alive.

In January 2025, the shop began its next chapter under the ownership of Dominique (Dom) Siljanoski. When the Monaro Street building was sold, Dom made the brave and unexpected decision to relocate. In January 2026, the shop found its new home on Hoyle Avenue in Castle Hill.

While the address has changed over the years, our heart has not.

Today, we continue to honour all owner's visions throughout the almost 30 years of operations but at the end of the day we always believe in supporting our performing arts community in anyway possible.

Whether you shopped with Ken and Lesley from 1998, found us during the Monaro Street years, supported us through Kassandra's time, or are visiting us for the very first time in Castle Hill — Welcome, we’re so glad you’re here!
